Abstract: This study was conducted to use and manage urban forestry effectively applying GIS to divide forest functions at Mt Ab and Mt 0\oejung. Zoning diagram of forest function was writed on using functional diagram of wood product, water resource promotion. disasters' prevention at mountainous district. forest recreation. conservation of life environment, conservation of nature environment based on 'Zoning diagram of forest function' reported by Korea Forest Research Institute. Functions of forest recreation(2,797ha) and water resource promotion(2,.400ha) were best, and functions of wood product(1,746ha), disasters' prevention at mountainous district(853ha), and conservation of life environment(352ha) were high in turns. The area of no data which can not be given as value for lake, land without woods, and road etc. was 1,966ha. The study would be able to be used for multidimensional forest resource management to satisfy social, ecological, and economical dimand.
