Development of a GIS-based Application System for Forest Management in An-Myun Island.

 Abstract: To make more rational forest plans, forest management system, which assist decision makers to make a better decision. is needed because there are plenty of data related to forest. In this study. GIS based application system was developed for forest management in An-Myun island. This system, independently, manage various digital maps and data connected with forest management. An-Myun island's Forest Management System was developed with ESRI's Map object, which is component based tool for developing applications. and Microsoft Visual Basic6. 0. and design to inputting, storing, editing, inquiring, and printing GIS data in easy and simple way on Windows operating system of PC. Because this system can help people to use suitable information about forest. it will provide a lot of assistant when forest management plans are founded.
