ABSTRACT : In this study, the relationship between growth factors for Pinus koraiensis stands in Gapyoung-Gun was analyzed and dynamic growth and management model was prepared. A total of 62 sample plots was surveyed in which dbh and he1ght of individual trees was measured. From these plot data, quadratic mean dbh, mean height, dominant tree height, stem number per ha, mean basal area per ha and volume per ha were estimated. Several regression equations between growth factors were derived using NUN and REG procedure of SAS, and dynamic growth and management model m wh1ch the equations were interactively linked, was prepared for prediction of stand growth and yield. under different management regime. Prediction of stand growth with the model showed that the dynamic growth and management model was coincided with a general growth principles. The dynamic growth and management model was considered adequate to predicting growth and yield of stand. In practice, the dynamic growth and management model can be applied to predicting the growth and development of stand for various forest treatments, and to making decision in forest management.
